251 West 14th Street is located between Chelsea and the Meatpacking District, currently one of Manhattan's most vibrant and fashionable areas.
The building will have a new gross floor area of 4,158 sq m with 3,100 sq m of saleable residential space, an 11-storey tower with a cantilevered penthouse above the adjacent building using special cantilevered beams, creating a unique form. The façade of the building comprises a mix of glass, stone and brick.
The site logistics for this project are challenging, with a very narrow 14.7 m site. Access to the site is also limited due to the influence of the MTA underground and city traffic on the main intersection.
